To the surprise of most people, working out even just one time per week can provide major benefits to your physical and mental health. Moving your body and getting your blood flowing reduces the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, stroke, cancer, and all other causes. Researchers have found that people who do basically any amount of exercise have about a 30% lower chance of dying overall.
Being active, in any amount, also reduces stress levels, improves mood, clears the mind, and allows you to take a break and be away from work or other stressors. You may also notice improved sleep patterns, better digestion, and increased energy. This is not only good for your mental health, but also in turn contributes to better physical health.
If you only have the time or motivation to exercise once per week, consider doing a total body workout to strengthen and move every muscle group, or a moderate intensity cardiovascular workout to maintain an increased heart rate to strengthen the heart and lungs. We at RADECTHealth are offering a FREE weekly beginners fitness class on Fridays 11:00 - 11:30 am.
Join us to get at least one exercise session in per week! You can also check out our other offerings here.
